For the first poem I used ニャア as a play on ね--not only does it seem like I'm saying おいしいですね,ニャア is also the sound a cat makes.
For the second poem I used pen because it fit much better than any other word I wanted to use, allowing me to express my poem within the constraints of the haiku.
For the third poem I used シャトルバス because, to me, I felt it implied a departure, perhaps to America as it is a loan word, that really emphasizes that fact that someone is leaving in the poem.
